Unfortunately there are times where you may need to have some service work performed on your metal detector.  If you have an out of warranty Minelab in need of repair, service or modifications start by clicking the blue link below.

But before you do, note that you will need the following information:

  • Detector Model
  • Serial Number
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address

After completing this page, someone will be in contact either via email or phone to give you the details as to what else is needed prior to sending in your detector.

After you have heard from a company representative and the repair is set up, please make sure to include the following before shipping your metal detector to our facility.

  • Ticket Number - The ticker number must be clearly marked both inside and outside the box. You will obtain this either during your initial call or in the follow up call to your request from our webpage.
  • Description of the issue(s) - Try to be as specific as possible regarding the issues you are experiencing with your detector.  For example, if you only experienced your issue after the detector was on for 30 minutes, be sure to note it so the technicians can more quickly duplicate the issue.
  • Send ALL Electronic Components - While initially it may not seem important to send everything, it is actually helpful to the technician to diagnose the issue with your detector if you could kindly send all electronic parts for your detector in for repair. These components include batteries, coils, and all control boxes.  Failure to do may result in a delay in processing your repair.   Things NOT needed to be sent include shafts, rods, harnesses, etc. - Unless of course one of those parts has a problem.
