We realize it would be helpful to have an idea as to repair costs before sending your detector to us, so we have created this page to help you understand the cost of some repairs. While many repair costs are unpredictable until the detector is on the bench and thoroughly diagnosed, some are fairly common and this page will serve as a guide to some of those common repairs. Also, as of January 1, 2018, our labor rate for non-warranty repairs is $75/hour.  (increasing to $85/hour on October 1, 2021)

Standard diagnosis fee, non-warranty all Excalibur - $75.00 (1 hr labor)  (increasing to $85.00 on October 1, 2021)

Cost examples include:

Standard Minelab/Koss Yellow Waterproof Headphones for the Excalibur - $72 for a new pair of headphones, plus an hour of labor at $75, plus return shipping. This includes leak checking your machine prior to returning it to you. Most customers see a bill with shipping in the $170 - $175 range for this repair.

Minelab Excalibur coil change - $75 for an hour of labor, plus the coil you have chosen, plus return shipping. This includes leak checking your machine prior to returning it to you.

Minelab X-Terra series battery box replacement - $37.50 for 1/2 hr of labor, plus $25 for the battery box, plus return shipping. 

Minelab CTX 3030 replacement LCD - $37.50 for 1/2 of labor, plus $175 for the LCD screen, plus return shipping.

Again - we stress that your situation may be different, and your repair may require additional parts or time depending on the circumstances. But the above prices should serve as a general guideline for most repairs.
